The Center for Burma Studies is delighted to announce the biennial International Burma Studies Conference. We welcome your participation in the longest-running international conference on Burma/Myanmar since 1987.

Important Updates and Reminders
September 4thThe conference will be held in a hybrid format. Individual papers will be organized into cohesive panels. Online presenters will be able to attend their own panel, roundtable, or workshop virtually, including the Q&A session.
For security reasons, only in-person attendees will be permitted to join sessions other than their own. Pre-registration and special events will begin on Thursday, October 9, starting at 2:00 p.m., and the conference will conclude at noon on Sunday, October 12. Meals will be provided throughout the conference, except for Friday, October 10 (only coffee break and dinner will be provided that day). Conference organizers have been in touch with many of you regarding your plans for in-person or online attendance, and we have now sent you instructions on how to access the program. Booking your hotel roomFor hotel accommodations, the official conference hotel is NIU’s Hotel at Holmes, where we have secured discounted rates for participants.
